Chemical composition is different
304 stainless steel plate is cover stainless steel, and its material composition is OCr18Ni9;

Performance is different
304 steel is resistant to corrosion such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid, urea, etc., and is suitable for use in general water, controlled gas, wine, milk, CIP cleaning fluid and other situations that are less corrosive or do not come into contact with materials.
316L steel type adds molybdenum element to 304, which can significantly improve its resistance to intergranular corrosion and oxide stress corrosion and reduce the tendency of hot cracking during welding. It also has good resistance to chloride corrosion. Commonly used in pure water, distilled water, medicines, sauce, vinegar and other occasions with high hygienic requirements and strong corrosive media. The price of 316L is almost twice that of 304.
Maintenance methods are different
304 stainless steel plate: 18cr-8ni-0.08c has good corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and processability, is resistant to strong oxygen acids, can be stamped, and can be used to make containers, tableware, metal furniture, building decoration, and medical equipment;
316 stainless steel plate: 18cr-12ni-2.5Mo is common in seaside construction, ships, nuclear electrochemical and food equipment, etc. It not only improves the corrosion resistance to chemicals hydrochloric acid and ocean, but also improves the resistance to salt water halogen solutions corrosive.
